Specialist in obstetrics and gynecology
Received his Dr degree in 1981 at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine in Tel Aviv.
Completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical Center of Tel Aviv in 1987, and for 25 years serves as a senior gynecologist initially in the Tel Aviv Medical Center (Ichilov) and later in Maccabi health centers.
Dr. Ber Amos is known to almost every woman in Israel as the author of the bestseller "The Israeli Guide to Pregnancy and Childbirth." The book which was first published in 1994 stays on bestseller lists for years and contains information for pregnant women in Israel. The book is updated every few years. In light of the friendly way of writing and the detailed information the book is cited in various forums as the "Bible" of the pregnant woman.
Dr. Ber Amos is also responsible for a series of books entitled: the Israeli guide for teenagers. This is a series of four books, recommended by the Ministry of Education, divided according to age groups:
Girls 10-12, Girls 13-15, Boys 13-15 and another book for both sexes aged 16-18.
Dr Amos Ber wrote the chapter dealing with gynecological plastic surgery (labioplasty & vaginal surgery) in the book "the Israeli guide to plastic surgery"
Recently he published together with Mrs. Tali Rozin and Dr. Kupernic the new bestseller: "The Israeli Guide for women aged 40 +" targeting women before and around menopause.
Dr. Ber authored several articles in medical journals in Israel and abroad as well as chapters in medical books; the latter was a chapter on menopause in a book published for Israeli gynecologists in 2010.

Dr. Amos Ber participated in many TV and radio interviews and is frequently cited and writes articles in the popular press and the internet as well on subjects involving gynecology, obstetrics, amniocentesis, contraception (the pill and IUD) plastic surgery of the vagina and menopause.

Dr. Amos Ber regularly lectures in medical conferences in Israel and abroad on subjects concerning Pregnancy, Menopause and Contraception. He is the physician with the most extensive experience in the country, and one of the largest in the world with the Intrauterine device releasing Levonorgestrel= Mirena®, Kyleena® and Jaydess® (more than 10,000 insertions) and lectures around the world in this field.
Dr. Amos Ber is an active participant in forming position statement papers of the Israeli Medical Association giving guidelines to physicians in the fields of abortion, menopause and contraception.
